Development Appraisals & Development Management

Our Practice currently prepares land and building Development Appraisals for both residential and commercial development sites of varying sizes.

In residential terms we can prepare appraisals from one to about fifty units and in commercial terms we work with values from £100,000 to £20,000,000.

We keep up to date with the latest build costs via our existing development clients and our project monitoring instructions and we can prepare initial appraisals using our own costings and market research into resales, lettings and yields. We are also able to advise upon the style, specification, format and phasing of any development.

We also carry out monitoring and work-in-progress valuations for a number of Banks. These valuations are carried out on an overall basis rather than specific work-in-progress valuations normally prepared by a Quantity Surveyor. These are designed to release funding for construction costs to developers based upon the value of the work completed, not necessarily just the build costs.

We can also provide more sophisticated development management (but not construction management) services during the design, pre-letting and sale process.
